Himalayan Raja Yoga Meditation
The Himalayan Raja Yoga Meditation technique has been handed down from Teacher to student for thousands of years. Raja Yoga, or what I learned initially as Kriya Yoga through meditation technique of Babaji & Paramahansa Yogananda is an ancient Meditation system to overcome our inner afflictions, such as fear, self-doubt and anger, by anchoring ourselves to the light of the inner Self, which through correct application of the technique is accessible within the subtle space correlating to the centre of the forehead. This light is often referred to as the field of Vishoka.
Raja Yoga involves a series of five techniques which allow us to connect to, and utilise the healing power of the breath and the intelligence of a concentrated mind. Through this fusion of breath and mind we gain deeper insight into our own inner condition, particularly regarding the self-created ways in which we suffer, while also gaining insight into the precise means to overcome these afflictions. This time-tested practice teaches us how to anchor ourselves to true inner peace and happiness beyond reliance on external factors, plus systematically introduces and anchors us to our own radiant, wisdom-filled essence. As we regularly make contact with the indwelling light that exists beyond all suffering, it begins to transform our waking consciousness and over time, the wall that divides the human and spiritual dimensions of our life dissolves.
